Family: Kyle and Lana.

Meet Kyle, Lana, and Zoey. The Robisons. I remember meeting Kyle and Lana and how much I adored them as individuals and as a couple. They are newlyweds who got married recently. Lana is gorgeous. Just look at her. She has a beautiful smile, a glowing personality, and loves her life! Kyle is hilarious, compliments Lana in every way, and adores his family. Together they make a gorgeous and loving couple. Then, there is Zoey. Zoey was a puppy they rescued and ended up keeping. Actually, Zoey reminds me of Marley. (Marley and Me is one of my favorite movies and books. I remember when Bryan and I watched the movie in the theater, I had told Bryan I wanted a pup just like Marley.) Zoey was full of personality, she sought out for an adventure, and she loves Kyle and Lana! I can just tell. Kyle and Lana, you make me love what I do because of people like you both I get to meet, and I only wish you both happiness and love for the many years to come in your marriage! Family: The Forbes.

There is nothing I love more than a family full of girls! They are always full of personality, smiles, laughs and a lot of love. The Forbes girls did not let me down! It was a cold Sunday when we did their season. Reily and Kayla hopped out of their car and were full of energy. It was like the cold didn't bother them. I loved them right away. They jumped when I asked them to, they acted sassy and even gave each other some hugs! They are going to have a special bond with one another and Peyton as they grow older! Stefanie and Brad took Baby Peyton out of the car, and she was even a trooper. One of my favorite reasons why I love taking photographs of families is the dad. Brad absolutely adored his family. You could tell he felt incredibly lucky to be in a family full of women who loved him just as much as he love them. Stefanie is a teacher, and I can she is an awesome one! Her girls and Brad are her world and spending some time with the Forbes made me realize how much happiness you can receive by being surrounded with the people you love! What made me love this family more was the fact that after our session was over, we all got some hot chocolate to warm us up, which definitely helped Bryan and I out from being in the cold all day!

Family: The Longs.

It was a cold, cold Sunday morning. Before they got there, I thought to myself, "I am going to have to do this session fast since it is freezing outside and there are two little ones with Kim and Frank." They got out of their car, and all I could think to myself was, "What a gorgeous family." If I was Brelee's age, I would totally be sporting her outfit. She was a doll who had the sweetest smiles and worked the camera like there was no tomorrow. Brendon was the perfect big brother. He adored his little sister, gave her hugs and kisses when I asked, and made me laugh. Kim and Frank, well just look at them. They are beautiful on the outside of course. However, they are just as beautiful on the inside. I loved Kim's style, her personality and her kind heart. Frank was a genuine husband and father and his world was his family. Together, Kim and Frank showed an immense amount of love toward one another as well as toward Brendon and Brelee. I can only imagine how gorgeous Brendon and Brelee are going to be as they grow older! Kim and Frank, I hope you enjoy some of my favorites below and thank you for braving the weather with Bryan and I. I loved all the images, and I hope you do as well!

Shots from the Weekend.

Love was an emotion that was filled throughout my weekend. Bryan and I got to witness two of our best friends, Zach and Stacey, get married. It was a wedding that was filled with joy, love, tears, laughter, and music. Did I mention the dancing?! Yes, we busted some awesome moves on the dance floor! We started the weekend off with the rehearsal dinner at Larusso's, which was fabulous and a perfect way to start the wedding festivities! It was so neat to hear Zach's parents talk about Zach and Stacey and hear about how they have grown into a beautiful couple. This was shown more on the day of their wedding. Zach and Stacey made a stunning pair. Stacey's dress was out-of-this-world gorgeous, and I might possibly had some drool when I saw it. I loved all the details of their ceremony from Stacey's something blue which was a St. Louis Blues pin that she clipped to her bouquet (Zach and Stacey are huge Blue's fans), the beautiful Catholic church (hands down one of my favorite churches), being a bridesmaid and walking down with Bryan who was the best man, the tears both of them shed during the ceremony, their friends who had amazing voices that sang, and the bagpipe player Stacey's parents hired for the end of the ceremony. I don't even know how to describe how beautiful the reception was. Bryan and I definitely had our jaw dropped when we walked in. I adored the beautiful fall colors and the way everything was decorated! One of my favorites was the cake table. No it was not because of the cakes (although it would have been quite possibly if it was gluten-free), but because of the pictures they had put next to their wedding cake of their grandparents on their wedding day. I loved how everything screamed Zach and Stacey! They even had the band play some Irish music. This was hands down one of my most favorite weddings I have been to and I would have to say Zach and Stacey definitely got the wedding of their dreams. They are our dearest friends, and it was so neat to witness a profound amount of love on Saturday between two people who mean the world to us! Congrats Zach and Stacey!

As for Sunday, it wouldn't be Fall to Bryan and I without visiting the pumpkin patch on our way home. We made a quick stop at Rombach's Farm in Chesterfield Valley to pick up a pumpkin for us to carve (it's a yearly tradition!) and snap some quick pictures. We picked a gorgeous day to go there, and it definitely showed for how crowded it was. Aside from the beautiful fall decorations and HUGE pumpkins, I was drooling over all the delicious food they had: apple cider, chocolates, caramel apples, funnel cakes, and pies. Y.U.M. Too bad none of it was gluten-free. It was probably a good thing both for our wallets and stomach. Overall, we had an amazing visit home!

Family: The Hincks.

Meet the Hincks. They are kind-hearted, adorable and so fun. I love that both Isabella and Olivia adore their little brother Sawyer. He is one lucky boy. Just from the way they treated him, he is going to be in good hands as he grows up. I can see both Isabella and Olivia being protective sisters. (I know because I was and still am the same way with my little brother.)

Chrystal and Mike are so sweet. They care for one another and think the world of their three children. Isabella is very mature for her age, and you can definitely tell she plays the big sister role just great. Olivia is full of life and has the sweetest heart. (She reminds me a little of how I was when I was younger.) Then, there is Sawyer who is so so lucky. He is adored by four people who love every inch of him! Not to mention, he has one of the best baby personalities and was so easy to photograph. He didn't fuss or cry once during the hour we took pictures. Come to think of it, all three of them didn't fuss in spite of how cold the weather got during the afternoon. The Hincks are an all-around beautiful family. I can see Isabella, Olivia and Sawyer being gorgeous individuals!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Bryan and I are headed home to St. Louis for some of our dearest friends, Zach and Stacey. We both are blessed to be in their wedding so we are very excited for their big day! Aside from two of our dearest friends getting married, we hope to see my mum and dad, see some of our friends, and make a visit to the pumpkin patch (it's a yearly tradition). I hope to get some great "Shots from the Weekend."

Animal Portraits: Chandra and Jenn.

A lot of thoughts ran through my head when we were driving to Ottawa, KS to meet Chandra and Jenn. It was my first session with horses. I was nervous. All I knew was this was going to be a challenge. I thought of Bryan's mum, Liz, and how much she loves horses. I tried to remember the things she had told me about her experiences. I came up with a list of different types of shots I wanted to get with Chandra and Jenn and their horses. I was rambling on to Bryan about who knows what to hide my nervousness. However, I felt calm as soon as we approached Ottawa. There is something about being out in the country that puts everything at ease. It gives off this soothing feeling. Bryan always told me how the air smells different when you are outside of the city. I never understood that until recently. When we stepped out at Jenn's house, it smelt wonderful. Fresh. What put me at complete ease was Chandra and Jenn.

They are absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous! Seriously. Not to mention photogenic. (Chandra is Heather's cousin whom I did my very first photo shoot with.) Besides being beautiful gals, they were incredibly sweet and welcoming. They put me at complete ease. Not to mention, they were all about having fun and laughing, which I love! Chandra owns three beautiful horses: Prince, Shadawn, and Patty. Prince is the beautiful dark horse in some of the pictures below. Shadawn and Patty are complete opposites but it was fun to see them interact with each other. Jenn's horse, Milo, has definite personality and reminded Bryan and I of Liz's horse. Actually, all of them had their own distinct personality. I spent two hours taking pictures all over Jenn's property not to mention chasing the horses around while they gave me some of their best action shots. Bryan and I had a blast with Chandra and Jenn and their wonderful horses. It was definitely a drive worth it. Enjoy some of my favorites below.
