Because...

you always make me find the good in every person, every situation and every place. Always.
you make me laugh. A lot.
you have the most patient, selfless heart I know of and for that I thank God every day. Twice.
you are my complete opposite in every way possible yet similar in every way possible.
you push me to dream the impossible.
you know me better than I know myself.
you love to have fun and be silly.
you have a smile that makes me go weak in the knees.
you are a country boy at heart.
you never complain. Ever.
you cook. Need I say more.
you are my lobster.
you are my world, my soulmate, my best friend and partner-in-crime. For life.

Because you told me when I was nineteen you loved me and made me fall harder than I have ever fallen for someone. Because you make me want to be a better person. Everyday. Because when I told you I wanted to be a teacher and a photographer, you have never let me given up on either of my dreams. Because you always had faith in us that everything would work out even when I did not. Because you make us work hard at our relationship. Because everytime I hear "Chasing Cars" I think of you and our engagement. Because you probably have no idea, but if you never came into my life, I would not be half as happy as I am right now and be doing everything I love with my best friend by my side.

Bryan, these are just a few of the reasons why I am insanely, madly and ever so passionately in love with you. I never thought I would be so lucky as to meet this goofy, fun and ever so intelligent yet so quiet, small-town and kind-hearted personality until I met you. You blew me away when I first met you six and half years ago and you continue to blow me away today. You are someone I look up to because your outlook on living life to the fullest is inspiring, and I am so blessed to be your wife on Saturday.

We've been dreaming about this long enough and now it has finally became a reality. I told my mother when I was twelve years old I was going to marry a country boy. She never believed me. Well, God has a wonderful and funny way of working his magic and making the unexpected happen. He showed this city gal because Saturday, I finally get to marry the country boy I have been dreaming about since I was twelve. I love you, B.

No post is good without pictures, so here is a slideshow in honor of my hubby-to-be. (Hooray for FINALLY getting to live up to my photography name!) Enjoy, my love.

P.S. An early shout out to all the dads out there: Happy Father's Day! Especially our dads. We love you and hope this Father's Day is special since you all get a new daughter and son-in-law!

Family: The Jones.

They are quite possibly the cutest. And happiest. They are always smiling and so care-free. All four of them! Meet the Jones family. Jeremy and Jami are coming up on their TEN year anniversary! For Bryan and I who are about to get married and start on a new journey together, Jeremy and Jami were a great couple to spend the afternoon with on Sunday. I kind of wish I knew their secret because they make marriage look so easy. They are still playful, they laugh a lot together and they work as a team! I love that about them. As for their two little ones...OH MY GOSH! Maddie is six years old and just an absolute doll. She is the sweetest, and her smile is absolutely gorgeous just like the rest of her! As for her little brother, Luke, he is two years old and already breaking hearts. When we asked Luke if he had any girlfriends, he nodded his head and answered with...TWO! Two girlfriends! An instant smile appeared on his face. So, not only is he is complete stud but he is a little two-year old flirt! Love. It.

Jeremy and Jami, it was an absolute honor to spend the afternoon with the four of you! Maddie and Luke are just complete cuties, and they are going to grow up to be gorgeous...both inside and outside! I hope you enjoy some of my favorites below.

Happy Tuesday!

Babies and Kids: Mick McGraw.

It just seems like yesterday I saw this little guy, and he was learning how to stay on his tummy. Now, he is a crawling machine, a grown little boy and about to turn a year old! Time sure is flying by! I met Casey, Rachel and Mick on a beautiful day at Loose Park. All week it had been calling for rain, and sure enough, the man upstairs loves me and listens to my prayers because that beautiful Friday morning, we were blessed with none other than sunny and warm weather! Since Bryan and I are getting married in less than two weeks, I am going to miss taking pictures of Mick's First Birthday party. However, I decided to bring a little cupcake for Mick to get down and dirty with, and sure enough, he did just as I expected. The thing I was not expecting was for him to like the candle more than the cake! In the end, I think Rachel, Mick and I (along with my camera) were covered in chocolate, but it was totally worth it!

Casey and Rachel, I hope you both enjoy some of my favorites below! Mick's first birthday party is going to be a blast! Hopefully, he doesn't crawl into a corner and not want to talk to anyone (I don't know of anyone who has done that...ahem...moment to clear my throat; I may or may not have been THAT one year old on my birthday screaming and crying if anyone but my parents were around me.) Either way, I am so happy to have gotten the chance to spend some time with all three of you, and I hope to see you soon. Happy Early Birthday, Mick!

Wedding: DJ and Kathleen.

The double doors opened as the music grew louder. There she stood with a gorgeous smile and in a gorgeous white dress looking sensational. Goosebumps ran up my arms as I watched her walk down the isle to the boy she has been in love with since seventh grade. My eyes quickly jumped from her to DJ. There he stood. Smiling. Really big. The goosebumps ran still up my arms. I told myself I wasn't going to cry at this wedding. Then came time for their vows. He said his to Kathleen. She stood there listening to his every word to her. It was flawless. It was time for Kathleen to say her vows to him. For as long as I have known Kathleen, she seldom lets tears fall. So, as she spoke her vows to him, she started to choke and tear up. I understood. There she was, holding the hands of a man, once a boy, who she has been in love with since she was twelve years old. So, as I watched her say her vows letting the tears flow, I felt a squeeze in my hand from Bryan. He didn't have to look at me, he just knew, I was tearing up as well.

To watch two of our very close friends get married after being together for a LONG time simply put was beautiful. Their love is a love like no other. They are beautiful together on the inside and outside and have grown together over the years. It was bliss to watch them on that gorgeous Saturday go from teenagers to adults to a married couple!

DJ and Kathleen, Bryan and I love you both more than I can describe! We wish you both a lifetime of happiness and love. Have a blast in Jamaica! xoxo.

Fate or Luck?

It started Saturday morning at the breakfast table with my dad laughing and planning for Bryan and I's special day. It continued with laying on my parents' bed with my mum talking about everything into the late afternoon. My friends, her work and wedding stuff. You know, girl talk. It ended with an evening dinner (gluten-free I might add!) on the deck with Bryan's stepdad, mum, sisters and us complete with wine, storytelling and a lot of laughing. The icing to my day was the gluten-free pumpkin muffins Bryan's mum, Liz, bought out that were OUT OF THIS WORLD! I soaked up the day's events wondering one question: was it fate or luck that I ended up not only having an amazing dad, mum and little brother but to become an official member to a family whom I love and hold dear to my heart of a man whom I am insanely in love with for the past six and half years? Well, I didn't have an answer at that moment, so I pondered about it the rest of the weekend.

It was watching Bryan's nieces get baptized and seeing Bryan as a proud godfather. It was holding our niece, Savannah, in the middle of the afternoon, just the two of us, making her smile. Real big. To the point where we could hardly handle it. It was eating chocolate in the corner of the kitchen, dripping chocolate everywhere and laughing with my gal and soon-to-be cousin-in-law, Kelsey, while everyone around us laughed as we made a mess in the kitchen. It was going barefoot in the grass, climbing rocks and laughing as we took our girly goofy pictures. It was watching Bryan's Aunt Kathy bring out the shower cake WITH icing and announcing it was gluten-free while hugging my future mum-in-law, Liz, and telling her she is amazing for knowing me a little too well. It was watching my dad and Bryan's stepdad, Rich, eat cake and laugh together. It was playing games with Bryan and watching him do the bubble gum game all the while knowing deep down, he was having the time of his life.

It was looking over at my mum every so often and seeing the smile and laughter on her face that was so pure that it made me want to cry a happy tear. It was watching Bryan open our gifts and with each passing gift, the level of excitement would increase until the very last one had me jumping up and down and screaming. It was glancing over at my brother, drinking his beer and talking to Bryan's four year old niece, Carley, for thirty minutes about anything and everything.

It was driving home later that night and feeling pure bliss while holding Bryan's hand. It was ending a fun evening by sitting on the back deck with Liz, B and our glasses of wine watching the lightening bugs light up the property like it was Christmas and listening to the owls. It was driving back to Kansas City, singing and rocking out to Ace of Base with Bryan. That is when I realized it. It was fate AND luck. It was fate that I met Bryan. We were meant to be together. Like two puzzle pieces that fit ever so perfectly. It was luck that I got the BEST family to become a part of and every moment I spend with them, I see where Bryan gets his best traits. So, to the man upstairs, thank you for giving me the chance to experience both fate AND luck this weekend.

Enjoy the pictures from this weekend!
