Family: The Borchardts.

Some days I wake up wondering how I got so blessed to be living the life I am living right now. I almost want to pinch myself to know that 'photographer' is a title I actually hold these days. I would be nowhere near where I am with my photography if it were not for the wonderful families I meet every weekend and the same families who trust me to capture their memories for them. A fabulous example of this kind of family is the Borchardts.

Paul and Susan are ever so sweet. They are extremely laid-back, they are very content with their lives and they have an indescribable love for their little guy, Max. Max is sooo fun! He is at that point in his life where everything is a surprise to him including a stick. From the ground. His mind only thinks adventure so as any 14 month old boy, he seeks for dirt, rocks and anything that screams, well adventure. The Borchardts are a family I am so grateful Bryan and I got a chance to spend some time with last weekend. It's families like them that make me thankful for getting to do something I love and making it so easy on my part!

Paul and Susan, hope you love some of my favorites and be on the look-out for a little package in the mail (hopefully today!). It was wonderful getting to meet the both of you and your little guy, Max. We LOVED him!

Happy Friday and have an AWESOME Memorial Day weekend!

Babies and Kids: Maren Moss.

Brace yourselves, you are about to embark upon pure beauty. I wish I were kidding as I wrote the previous sentence, but I am not. Meet Maren Moss. You might remember her from the session with her dad and mum, Jason and Lindsey. Well it has only been six months since Bryan and I last saw her, and she has grown so much! However, she still has those big, beautiful blonde curls of hers, which makes her stunning. And, her smile. Oh her smile makes me jump for joy. Kind of like a leprechaun. Bryan and I spent a gorgeous morning watching Maren be, well Maren. She loves being two. She loves adventure. She loves to smile. She loves being active. She loves marching to her own beat. And, my favorite part, she loves running around barefoot. Just the way it should be when it's summertime! I cannot wait to see this gorgeous little girl grow in the next year!

Jason and Lindsey, hope you love some of my favorite below. I have said it once, and I will say it again, but you both are so blessed to have such a doll for a little girl. She is going to steal some hearts one day!

Family: The Blands.

When I saw them from a distance, all I wanted to do was "goo" and "gah" at them because they are THAT cute. I mean, literally, they had me swimming in my own puddle from my heart melting! They are twins and are both so different from the other. I just adore that about both of them. One loves to observe. He also enjoys being active. The other. Well, he analyzes everything. And, he loves to eat. Anything. It makes him smile. Really big. Which makes me smile really big. Owen and Abram stole Bryan and I's hearts last Saturday as soon as we got to see them in person.

I should start from the beginning. Katie, their mum, well we were Chi Omegas together in college. She has this amazing spirit and love for life especially for her three guys. Nathan, well he is just plain awesome, I should say. I wish there was a better way of describing him but awesome sums it up. Just two short years ago, I watched these two karaoke at the annual Agee Halloween party. Now, they are parents. And, I should say they make parenting two twin boys look easy. I kind of want in on their secret!

Nathan and Katie, I think it is safe to say Bryan and I LOVED seeing the two of you and meeting your little guys. The pictures came out fabulous! If you are in need of babysitters, please do not hesitate to call us. I'm pretty sure we would have a blast hanging out with Owen and Abram. Enjoy some of my favorites below!!!

Family: The Hathaways and the Spurgeons.

There are a lot of reasons I love being a photographer. I love having the opportunity to be an artist and let my creativity run wild. I love being outside on gorgeous days and take in all of Mother Nature's beauty. Most of all, I LOVE meeting new people and catching up with old friends. The Hathaways were one of my first clients back in September. I absolutely adore Brett, Sally and Lucy! I kind of owe Sally a lot. I mean a lot. Let's just say without her help nine months ago, I would not be as successful today and probably still doing what I love!

I got the honor of spending a beautiful and fabulous morning with the Hathaways and their friends, the Spurgeons. Sally and Alison are good friends from college. Watching them laugh and just hang out during the session reminded me a lot of my best gals from college. I hope when we have little ones, we stay as close of friends as Sally and Alison. Prior to our session, Sally told me I would love Chad and Alison and was she right! They are a hoot, and I pretty much adore them! What I loved most about them was this bond they have with each other. They are crazy about one another, they have fun and they both have killer personalities!

Oh, and did I mention, each family has a little one. And if I must say, Lucy and Will are CUTE. So darn cute that I wanted to play with them rather than take photos, which says a lot since I have a mild obsession with my camera. Lucy is no longer a baby who crawls but a big girl who walks, talks and marches to her own beat! And her smile kills me every time. As for Will, well let's just say, he is going to be breaking girls hearts all over the place! I'm kind of not kidding!

To the Hathaways and Spurgeons, you all are fabulous. Seriously. I had such a hard time picking out my favorites. I guess that is what happens when you're a stunning group! xoxo.
