Family: The Blands.

When I saw them from a distance, all I wanted to do was "goo" and "gah" at them because they are THAT cute. I mean, literally, they had me swimming in my own puddle from my heart melting! They are twins and are both so different from the other. I just adore that about both of them. One loves to observe. He also enjoys being active. The other. Well, he analyzes everything. And, he loves to eat. Anything. It makes him smile. Really big. Which makes me smile really big. Owen and Abram stole Bryan and I's hearts last Saturday as soon as we got to see them in person.

I should start from the beginning. Katie, their mum, well we were Chi Omegas together in college. She has this amazing spirit and love for life especially for her three guys. Nathan, well he is just plain awesome, I should say. I wish there was a better way of describing him but awesome sums it up. Just two short years ago, I watched these two karaoke at the annual Agee Halloween party. Now, they are parents. And, I should say they make parenting two twin boys look easy. I kind of want in on their secret!

Nathan and Katie, I think it is safe to say Bryan and I LOVED seeing the two of you and meeting your little guys. The pictures came out fabulous! If you are in need of babysitters, please do not hesitate to call us. I'm pretty sure we would have a blast hanging out with Owen and Abram. Enjoy some of my favorites below!!!

Family: The Hathaways and the Spurgeons.

There are a lot of reasons I love being a photographer. I love having the opportunity to be an artist and let my creativity run wild. I love being outside on gorgeous days and take in all of Mother Nature's beauty. Most of all, I LOVE meeting new people and catching up with old friends. The Hathaways were one of my first clients back in September. I absolutely adore Brett, Sally and Lucy! I kind of owe Sally a lot. I mean a lot. Let's just say without her help nine months ago, I would not be as successful today and probably still doing what I love!

I got the honor of spending a beautiful and fabulous morning with the Hathaways and their friends, the Spurgeons. Sally and Alison are good friends from college. Watching them laugh and just hang out during the session reminded me a lot of my best gals from college. I hope when we have little ones, we stay as close of friends as Sally and Alison. Prior to our session, Sally told me I would love Chad and Alison and was she right! They are a hoot, and I pretty much adore them! What I loved most about them was this bond they have with each other. They are crazy about one another, they have fun and they both have killer personalities!

Oh, and did I mention, each family has a little one. And if I must say, Lucy and Will are CUTE. So darn cute that I wanted to play with them rather than take photos, which says a lot since I have a mild obsession with my camera. Lucy is no longer a baby who crawls but a big girl who walks, talks and marches to her own beat! And her smile kills me every time. As for Will, well let's just say, he is going to be breaking girls hearts all over the place! I'm kind of not kidding!

To the Hathaways and Spurgeons, you all are fabulous. Seriously. I had such a hard time picking out my favorites. I guess that is what happens when you're a stunning group! xoxo.

Fireworks In My Head.

It is no secret I have a pure hatred for moving. Seriously. Anyone who knows me knows that I have mini panic attacks when I see a mess. Yes, I am one of those women who is an utterly neat, over-the-top person. Kind of like Monica. I want to say not as bad, but I know my friends and family would call me a liar right away. Anyways, last Saturday was moving day for Bryan and I. I have no idea how we would have moved so smoothly and fast for that matter if it were not for our fabulous and amazing families and friends. Our mothers stunned us with their unpacking skills and well the guys, as you can see in the second picture, were hard at work assembling and moving all the furniture from both of our old places to the new one! We owe them a million thank yous and are truly blessed.

On top of the stress of moving, it hit me that I was finally getting married to this man that I once called my boyfriend, now call my fiance and VERY soon will call my hubby. Talk about fireworks going off everywhere in my head. On one hand, I was incredibly nervous because let's face it, I have never had to live with a boy other than my dad or brother. So, I knew this was going to be different. However, on the other hand, well let's just say I have been dreaming about marrying this boy for long enough and to FINALLY see a dream that once seemed impossible start to become a reality is an indescribable feeling. I guess you can say it is pure bliss. So, how is everything going now? Well, we unpacked our last box yesterday, absolutely love living together and cannot wait to decorate and make our new place our new home for the next year or two! Oh, and I guess you can say, we are esctatic to be married in one month and five days! We're not counting or anything.

I didn't get a chance to take many pictures b/c you could say I was running a hundred miles per hour and on the brink of having my head explode. A bit over dramatic? No way. However, I did take two quick ones. As for the after shots of our new place, they won't be up on the blog until after we are married. We are waiting on the decorating part after we become Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey!

As for today, well it is a Happy Friday indeed! I just finished my last final for the semester and finished work up as well. So, here is to bringing on photography sessions, wedding fun, honeymoonin' and just enjoying one fantabulous summer! (I might be doing the Shefy Shake in my seat at the moment.) Happy Friday!!!

Who Am I?

Who am I? It is a question we often ask ourselves. I think each person is defined differently. That is what makes each of us unique and special. People ask me often why they should choose me as a photographer. After all, every photographer essentially takes great pictures. However, it is their style and the person they are that brings a different flavor of fun to each session. I am still working on defining my style, but as far as Who am I? Well, I think I am slowly figuring out what makes me, well me. What makes me unique from the next photographer. To get a better glimpse of Who am I, check out my new About Me section of the blog! With a little help from Bryan, I whipped up quite a few statements that are fun and give a better glimpse of Who I am as a person. One of my favorite photographers, Jasmine Star, once said, "Photography doesn't define me. It's all the pieces of my life that define me and inspire me to be a better photographer." I cannot agree more to her statement!

Stay tune for some pictures next week of our big move! Yes, that is right. Smack dab in the middle of my finals, photography sessions, working and wedding planning, Bryan and I are moving into our new place. You can call us a couple of crazies, but we are almost done packing and are SO ready to be done living out of boxes and suitcases! I hate, yes hate moving, but this move, well it's not so bad. I guess it helps that I get to be moving in and finally living with my best friend and soon-to-be-hubby! So, here is to the weekend and the big move. Bring. It. On.

Happy Thursday!

Family: Dennis and Colleen.

She met him when she was twenty-one years old through a mutual friend. Her sister. She was not interested she recalled. He laughed and said the same. Love has a funny way of stepping into two people's lives and making the unexpected happen. Because the same two people who met through a mutual friend, the same two people who were not interested in one another, ended up marrying one another and celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary this year. Enter Dennis and Colleen.

30 years, they have been married, raised two beautiful children, made a couple of moves and grown together. However, if you met Dennis and Colleen, you could never tell they have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary because they still act like newlyweds. Seriously.

If you cannot already tell, in a lot of the pictures, I caught what I think is one of Colleen's best traits, her smile and laughter and through her best traits, I caught Dennis's best trait, his unconditional love for Colleen. You might be wondering why she is laughing and smiling a lot in her pictures, and I will give you one guess as to who is making her laugh. Dennis. If he was not singing to her during the session, he said something to make her grin ever so big or laugh out loud. To spend the morning with Dennis and Colleen was an absolute blessing. It was such an inspiration for Bryan and I to see that although you have been married for 30 years, that does not mean you cannot stop having fun and be young in the heart.

Dennis and Colleen, I wish I could sum up in words what an absolute honor it was for Bryan and I to meet the two of you. You both have a kind of love that is indescribable. It is beautiful, it is sweet and most of all, it is infectious because those around you cannot help but smile and feel pure bliss. Bryan and I want to wish you many more years of a happy, long and young in the heart marriage. Hope the both of you enjoy the pictures because like the two of you, they came out fabulous.
